Abstract

The Editors-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are proud to introduce Volume 7, Issue 1 of the Futuristic Implementations of Research in Education (FIRE). This issue features 1 article that is related to foreign language education.

Within the article, Demirezen (2026) explored the multilingual character of the Ottoman Empire. The author claimed that while the Ottoman Empire was a vast empire that reigned in diverse regions, it did not impose its language. Ottoman Turkish, which was a mix of Arabic, Persian, and Turkish languages. The author claimed that although it served as the lingua franca of the empire for many years, it was largely unintelligible to the public. The author concluded that Ottoman Turkish influenced certain dialects in the Balkans.

To inform you, with this issue, FIRE resumes its usual publication rhythm, and we thank our contributors for their ongoing support throughout the past year.
